Upon arriving in Agadir, Morocco, you will meet your tour guide and enjoy some traditional Moroccan dates. Then, embark on a trip to the coastal city of Essaouira. Along the way, you will pass through the Atlas coast and enjoy the panoramic views and landscapes. You will also make stops at argan shops to learn about the process of making original argan oil, and possibly see goats climbing the argan trees. Once in Essaouira, you will join a small group tour to explore the city, getting lost in the UNESCO-protected medina. You will visit attraction sites such as Skala Kasbah, and indulge in some delicious seafood. End the day by watching the colorful sunset over the sea and seagulls. You will then be transferred to your hotel or riad for the night.
After breakfast, continue your journey to Marrakech, taking in the scenic road trip. Once you arrive, you will begin exploring the city. Start at Djemaa el Fna, a bustling square and marketplace in the Marrakesh medina (old city) that serves as the main hub for locals and tourists alike. Next, visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in the city. If time permits, you will also have the opportunity to visit other popular sites in Marrakech. Afterwards, return to your Riad for an overnight stay.
Take the opportunity to discover hidden gems in Marrakech today, starting with the renowned Jardin Majorelle, a tranquil botanical garden and artist's paradise spanning two-and-a-half acres. Next, delve into history by visiting the Islamic madrasa, now a historical site, followed by the Bahia Palace, a grand 19th century palace initiated by Si Musa, grand vizier to the Alaouite sultan Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman. End the day by uncovering the ancient Saadian tombs, a royal necropolis, before returning to your Riad.
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast at your Riad before embarking on a journey to Dades Boumalne. Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the High Atlas Mountains as you travel by comfortable 4x4 car or minibus. Make a stop at the summit of Tizi n'Tichka, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters. Upon arrival at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, explore the ancient earthen buildings and high walls that make up this traditional pre-Saharan habitat. Enjoy a lunch break here before continuing on to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. Visit the Film Atlas Studio to discover which of your favorite movies were filmed in the nearby Sahara regions. Finally, journey through the Thousand Kasbahs Valley before arriving in Dades for an overnight stay in a local Riad or hotel.
Start the morning off with a delicious breakfast before heading to the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking 300m golden mountain. Once you arrive, take a walk and witness climbers scaling the towering heights of Todra. In the afternoon, follow your tour guide to visit several Berber villages including Tinjdad, Erfoud, and Rissani. Later, arrive at the Merzouga Desert where you will switch to a private camel for a memorable excursion led by an experienced camel guide. Take in the stunning sand dunes and catch a beautiful sunset view. Upon returning to camp, enjoy a delicious dinner and immerse yourself in Berber culture by listening to traditional music. Spend the night in a nomad tent under the stars.
Rise early to catch the sunrise from the top of your luxury desert camp and try your hand at sandboarding. Afterwards, return to camp for breakfast and a quick shower before setting off on camelback to your 4x4. Your Morocco tour continues as you journey from the south to the north of Morocco. Pass through Rissani and visit the market, then continue on to the Ziz valley, home to the second largest palm groves in Morocco. Take in the panoramic view at the top of Ziz Mountain before heading to the Middle Atlas Mountains through fragrant cedar forests. Enjoy lunch in Midelt and then stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou where you'll have free time to relax and take pictures with the Berber apes. Afterwards, travel to Ifran, a Moroccan city known as "Little Switzerland". Finally, make your way to the imperial city of Fes, where you'll spend the night at one of the best hotels/Riads in the city.
Explore the ancient city of Fes, one of the four imperial cities in Morocco, on a half-day tour with a guide. Start in the oldest medina in Morocco, founded over 1,000 years ago and known for its bustling souks. Discover the two parts of the city: Fes el Bali and Fes el-Jadid. Walk along Talaa Kebira, one of the longest and most important streets in Fes el-Bali. Next, visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, a stunning school built by the Marinid sultan Uthman II Abu Said in 1310-1331. Leave the old city and head to the new one to see El Mellah, a place with a fantastic view. Return to your accommodation after the tour.
After your desert holiday, head north to the charming blue city of Chefchaouen. Before arriving, make a stop to hike for 2-3 hours through the small pools and enjoy the beautiful Cascades d’Akchour waterfalls. Once in Chefchaouen, take in the relaxed atmosphere and visit popular spots such as Outa el hammam for a rest and a refreshing glass of mint tea at nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, stroll through the narrow streets lined with blue-painted walls and snap some lovely photos. Don't miss the Spanish mosque for a breathtaking view of the blue city. End the day at a local Riad with a spectacular view.
Today, your final destination is Tangier. On the way, stop in Tetouan, also known as the white dove of North Morocco to visit its most popular attraction. Continue to Tangier, a city that serves as a gateway between Europe and Africa. Explore the old medina and grab a cup of coffee at Zoco Chico square. Then, head to Rmilat to discover other sights if time permits. Finally, make your way to your hotel to end the day.
As the final step of your 10-day desert holiday itinerary, you will be transferred to the airport or port depending on your flight time.
