As you arrive in Morocco, your tour guide will greet you at the port, airport, or your accommodation in Tangier. From there, you will embark on a journey to Chefchaouen via Tetouan. Once you arrive in Chefchaouan, you will explore the Plaza Outa el-Hammam, the main square named after the public baths that once surrounded it. Take a break and enjoy a cup of mint tea at a local restaurant while taking in the beautiful views. Wander through the narrow, blue-painted streets, capturing picturesque and romantic photos. Later in the day, you will continue on to the imperial city of Fes.
Today you will be embarking on a jam-packed day tour to the southeast of Morocco. You will begin your journey early, heading to Merzouga and passing through the town of Ifrane, also known as the "Little Switzerland of Morocco." You will have the opportunity to quickly explore the city before continuing on to the Cedar forest of Azrou where you can meet the Berber apes and take some beautiful pictures. As you travel, you will also pass through Tizi n'Talremt, a range of the little Atlas mountains. Lunch will be in Midelt before you continue on to the Ziz valley where you will stop at the second-largest palm grove in Morocco. As you proceed, you will notice a change in the atmosphere and landscape as you enter the Saharan region. You will arrive in Erfoud, known as the "gate to the Sahara desert" and also famous for its fossils. You will visit local workshops and learn how they transform fossils into decorations. From there, you will head to Erg Chebbi, where you will change your 4x4 vehicle for a single private camel ride (one camel per person) and join an experienced camel guide on a unique excursion through the desert. You will enjoy the best sand dunes and a beautiful sunset view. After the excursion, you will head to a luxury desert camp where dinner will be served and you will enjoy Sahara music with other participants before spending the night in a tent under the stars.
Begin your day by watching the sunrise from the peak of the Merzouga Sahara desert, and test your skills on the sand dunes. Afterwards, return to your desert camp for a quick shower and breakfast. Next, you will leave for Todra gorges via Rissani and make a stop at the local traditional souk (market) along the way, passing through several Berber villages. Upon arrival in Tinerhir, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Oasis. Then, you will head to Todra river, which is surrounded by towering red rocks that reach almost 1000 feet (305 m) high. You may have the chance to see climbers scaling these rocks. You will have some free time to walk under the 305m rock, relax, and do your own activities or just watch the cool waters of the shallow river below. After that, you will depart to Dades gorges for overnight.
During the final leg of your private tour, you will journey through the picturesque Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, make a stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Film Atlas Studio and pick up a favorite film. Then, you will visit Ait Ben Haddou, the most renowned kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The kasbah, composed of earthen buildings encircled by high walls, is a traditional pre-Saharan dwelling. You will have ample time to wander the area, take beautiful photos and enjoy lunch. Get ready for an exhilarating adventure across the High Atlas mountains, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters on the road between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Take in the spectacular panoramic views and breathtaking landscapes. You will make a pitstop at Tizi n'Tichka to snap some lovely photos and relax before continuing on to Marrakech. Your 4-day desert tour will conclude in Marrakech.
