Itinerary

As your tour guide, I will meet you at either the Casablanca airport or your accommodation. We will then Go on a journey to the picturesque town of Chefchaouen, located in the north of Morocco. Along the way, we will pass through the Rif mountains and make a stop in Akchour for a 2-3 hour hike to experience the beautiful Cascades d’Akchour. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the town on your own. You may want to visit Plaza Outa el-Hammam, the main square that is known for the many hammams that used to surround it. You can also enjoy a traditional mint tea at a local restaurant and take in the stunning views of the town. Get lost in the narrow, blue-painted walls and take as many pictures as you like. As the day comes to an end, we will return to our Riad and admire the sunset view.

On this day, you will have the opportunity to visit two of Morocco's imperial cities: Meknes and Fes. We will start the day early to take advantage of the quiet streets and fewer crowds for picture taking. First, we will head to Fes, making a stop along the way at the UNESCO protected Roman ruins of Volubilis. This ancient city, established in the third century BC, was once an important center of the Roman Empire and is filled with impressive buildings and stunning architectural features. Though the site is incomplete, it is still worth exploring. After visiting Volubilis, we will continue your 8-day from Casablanca to Marrakech on to Meknes, our second imperial city. Here, we will make sure to visit the impressive Bab El-Mansour gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Royal Stables. Afterwards, we will depart for Fes to spend the night in a local Riad.

We will also make stops in Zaida and Midelt for lunch in the "apple city" and visit the second-largest palm grove in Morocco. As we approach Erfoud, known for its fossils, we will take a short drive to reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi. There, we will switch from our 4x4 vehicle to a private camel for a 1-1.30 hour ride through the desert where you can take in the stunning views and witness a beautiful sunset. The evening will be spent in a luxury desert camp where dinner will be served, and you can enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire.

Begin your day by waking up early to witness the stunning sunrise, before attempting to master the art of sandboarding. After a thrilling morning, return to your luxury camp for a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower. Change your plans and head west to continue your 8-day private tour of the picturesque Dades Gorges. Upon arrival in Rissani, explore the vibrant local market, known as the souk. Continue your journey through a series of charming Berber villages en route to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. These towering cliffs, reaching a height of 984 feet (300 m), offer the perfect opportunity to unwind and engage in creative pursuits, or simply relax by the cool waters of the Todra river. Conclude your day by traveling to Dades for the remainder of your stay.

As you travel through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, make a pause at an altitude of 2260 meters to savor a refreshing glass of mint tea. Observe the striking change in atmosphere and landscape. Soon, you will find yourself engulfed in the hustle and bustle of the final imperial city, Marrakech. Upon arrival, spend the night in a traditional Riad, a traditional Moroccan palace or mansion.

Explore the vibrant history of Marrakech, also known as the Red City, with your tour guide. Start by visiting the bustling Jamaa El-Fna square, a hub of street art and performance, as well as an array of markets and restaurants. Next, delve into the old Medina and admire the colors and charm of small traditional markets. Then, take a tour of Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in the city, and enjoy the tranquil beauty of Menara gardens, a historic public garden dating back to the 12th century. Take some free time to appreciate the unique Moroccan architecture. Continue to the Majorelle Garden and Ben Youssef Madrasa for a glimpse of 16th-century architecture. If time permits, you may also have the opportunity to visit other notable sites such as the Saadian Tombs, El Badi Palace, and Bahia Palace. The tour will conclude with a transfer back to your Riad.
