Itinerary

Welcome to Casablanca! Meet your tour guide at your accommodation or airport, and depart for a visit to the Hassan II mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco. After that, head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to visit the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret, but still worth a visit. Then, continue on to Meknes, where you will see the most remarkable gate of the city, located in front of the famous Lahdim Square. Take some free time to explore Lahdim Square, the most famous public square in Meknes. If time allows, you will then visit the most important sites in Fes, before transferring you to your Riad for the first night of your 4-day Casablanca desert tour.

After breakfast at your Riad, you will set off for Southeast Merzouga. Leave Fes and head towards the Cedar forest where you can meet Berber apes and take pictures. Along the way, pass through Zaida and Midelt, where you will have lunch (in the "apple city"). As you approach the Middle Atlas mountains and the Ziz valley, stop at the second-largest palm grove in Morocco. Continue on to the gate of the Moroccan desert, Erfoud, which is known for its fossils. Discover how they turn simple fossil rocks into beautiful decorations. Take a short drive to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will change from a 4x4 car to a private camel for a ride (1-1:30 hours). Enjoy the desert views and the beauty of the sunset. Your second night will be spent in a luxury desert camp, where dinner will be served and you can enjoy Berber music around the campfire.

Rise early in the morning to catch the sunrise and try your hand at sandboarding. After breakfast and a quick shower, leave the dunes and continue your private tour to the Dades Gorges. Arrive in Rissani and discover its souk (local market). Then, head to Todra Gorges via several Berber villages. Upon reaching the 984-foot (300 m) deep Todra Gorge, take some free time to explore and relax near the cool water of the shallow Todra river. After that, in a short drive, you will head to Dades where you will spend the rest of the day.

Continue your 4 days Casablanca desert tour through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, where you will visit the Film Atlas studio and pick up your favorite movie. Then, head to Morocco's most famous kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The kasbah is a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls and is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. You will have free time to explore the area and take pictures. Lunch will be served here. Prepare for an adventure across the High Atlas mountains, which reach 2,260 meters above sea level, located on the road between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Enjoy the panoramic atmosphere and landscape. Stop near Tizi n'Tichka to take pictures and relax before continuing on the road to Marrakech, where your Casablanca desert tour will end.
