Begin your journey in Fes by meeting your tour guide at your accommodation or airport. Your first destination is the Cedar forest, where you'll have the opportunity to encounter Berber apes and capture picturesque moments. Travel through Zaida and Midelt, taking a break for lunch in the "apple city." Next, make your way through the Middle Atlas mountains and Ziz valley, stopping to admire the second-largest palm groves in Morocco. Your next stop is Erfoud, also known as the gate to the Sahara desert. This town is famous for its collection of fossils and offers a chance to see how these ancient rocks are transformed into decorative pieces. A short drive will bring you to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you'll embark on a private camel ride, taking in the breathtaking desert views and a sunset. Your first night in Morocco will be spent in a luxurious desert camp, dining under the stars and listening to the enchanting sounds of Berber music around a campfire. An unforgettable experience awaits you.
Start your day by rising early to catch a breathtaking sunrise from the top of the sand dunes. Afterward, challenge yourself by trying out sandboarding. Take a camel ride back to your 4x4 and continue on to Rissani, where you can explore the local souk. Along the way, pass through several Berber villages before arriving in Tinghir. Finally, witness the awe-inspiring beauty of Todra Gorge, which reaches depths of 300 meters and boasts stunning red rock formations. Take a leisurely walk along the picturesque Todra River and find numerous opportunities to relax and soak in the natural surroundings. In the evening, travel to the breathtaking Dades Gorge for the second night, where you can stay in a charming local riad or hotel.
Today is the final day of your desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. You'll be covering a lot of ground as you travel from Dades to Ouarzazate to visit the Film Atlas studio. Afterwards, you'll head to the Ait ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The kasbah is a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, a traditional pre-Saharan habitat where you will have ample time to explore and take photos. Lunch will be provided during the drive, which will take around 5-6 hours. Stop at the top of Tizi n'Tichka Pass, at an altitude of 7,415 feet (2,260 m), to admire the stunning view of the mountain range. You will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and reflect on the incredible journey you have just completed from Fes to Marrakech desert camping.
